METHODOLOGY of TRAINING COURSE

This course is in a Ruhi style format, an interactive study class, which can be used in small groups with a facilitator. It is visualized as a module within the Ruhi institute framework as a specialized branch on teaching Christians.

The basic course can be conducted as a day or week-end course and if more in-depth information is needed it can be extended over a period of time.
The basic workshop is based on role-plays, and using visual aids in the form of drawings to illustrate the approach. The language is simple and well suited for the large rural populations in Christian countries.

In the basic course the participants learn how to share the Message of Baha'u'llah with the Christians in a systematic and non-confrontational way.
Studying the Baha'i Holy Writings, which praise and glorify Christ helps the Baha'is to convey more understanding and respect for the Christian faith. By using the Word of God in the Bible as the foundation of our approach, it is using the familiar language of the person you are teaching which constitutes the basis of their belief (i.e. the Christian mindset)
This approach is based on Holy Writings especially the Book of Certitude and talks Abdu'l- Baha gave in West.

We are also offering a more detailed systematic train the trainer course, which gives the knowledge and skills to persons who are selected to be future facilitators of the course.

Marc and Helen Vloeberghs can quickly provide a customized curriculum to meet your particular needs. Our fun, hands-on approach using plenty of drawings, will accelerates the learning process and will help you with sharing the Message with Christians.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS COURSE

1. To increase insight into how Abdu'l-Baha taught Christians in a non-confrontational way using wisdom.

2. To use four steps, Listen, Affirm, Explain, and Live the Life.

3. How to avoid arguments, criticism and an attitude that we are trying to convert them.

4. To use the familiar language of the Bible, building bridges of
understanding. Many Christians will only accept the Word of God
from the Bible as the foundation of truth.

5. To increase the skills of Baha'is so that they are able to address the heart and mind of the Christians, not just give out information, (i.e. twelve principles and progressive revelation)

6. To use quotes from Baha'i writings that praise and glorify Christ when teaching Christians. This will show more love and respect for the divine reality of Christ and the Bible.

7. To train tutors who can conduct study circles in their area aiming at increasing the number of christians studying together with them.
